Fire damaged a business in Lancaster County.

The fire broke out around noon Tuesday at the Boose Aluminum Foundry on North Reamstown Road in East Cocalico Township.

High winds blew the flames right through the building, and smoke could be seen for miles.

The foundry has about 120 employees. Everyone who was working got out safely.

"We're happy that everybody got out. That was our No. 1 objective, is getting everybody out," owner Roger Boose said.

The fire appears to have started in the finishing area, where workers grind the aluminum castings made there.

The foundry, which dates back to 1933, was heavily damaged. But Boose said they may still be able to work out of part of it.

The fire chief said the fire is most likely accidental. A Pennsylvania State Police fire said the cause is undetermined.
