NEW YORK (AP) — When choreographer Camille A. Brown is asked to describe her kind of movement, she uses an analogy from the kitchen.

“It’s everything. It’s modern, it’s hip-hop, it’s tap, it’s jazz, it's ballet, it’s social dance. I call it a jambalaya. You stir it up in a pot and you put your own own seasoning on it. And then when it comes out into the bowl, it’s who you are.”

The Toronto Blue Jays scratched slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. from their starting lineup. Guerrero was in the Blue Jays’ initial lineup as the designated hitter before being removed about 2 1/2 hours before the first pitch against the Los Angeles Angels. Sportsnet reported Guerrero has soreness in his left wrist. Guerrero went 2 for 12 in the first three games of the series in Anaheim, where he spent many summers growing up while his father played for the Angels. Guerrero homered off the left field pole against Shohei Ohtani on Thursday. Guerrero has missed only one previous game this season.

Authorities say three third-grade students at a Northern California elementary school were hospitalized after inadvertently eating cannabis gummies. Officials say a student shared the gummies with four other kids during their snack recess on Thursday at Jacoby Creek Elementary in Humboldt County. The student who brought the edibles to school didn’t know they contained marijuana. All three kids were released from the hospital and are doing well. The principal says the classroom was initially evacuated over concerns the kids might have been reacting to carbon monoxide exposure. The Arcata Police Department is investigating.

Two-time European Cup winner Nottingham Forest is back in the top flight of English soccer for the first time since 1999. Forest beat Huddersfield 1-0 in the Championship playoff final to secure its place in the English Premier League next season. Forest won with an own-goal by Huddersfield defender Levi Colwill just before halftime. Huddersfield finished the regular season in third place and Forest in fourth. Champion Fulham and Bournemouth were automatically promoted. Forest won back-to-back European Cups, in 1979 and ’80, under Brian Clough. It fell on hard times and even became the first ever European Cup-winning club to fall into the third division of a domestic league system.

Police have arrested a third murder suspect in connection with a gang shootout in downtown Sacramento last month that left six dead and 12 wounded, authorities said.
